It’s the same imported product many fence companies sell — we’re just cheaper and we put this in writing. You’re buying with eyes open (and your Australian Consumer Law rights still apply).

Assembly & cutting down — what’s actually involved

Panels arrive as parts — perforated sheet, frame lengths and screws — and you put them together. If your run needs a narrower panel, you’ll also be cutting the sheet and frame down: measuring twice, cutting with a drop saw or angle grinder, filing the edges, and drilling new screw holes. It’s absolutely DIY-able. It’s also fiddly, and we promised to be honest about that.

The Perf Palm (Deco) Infill Panel brings decorative design to the perforated pool fencing system. At 1988mm wide × 1188mm high, this panel is designed to be fitted into a 38×25mm outer frame (sold separately), giving a finished framed panel size of 2000mm wide × 1200mm high.

Manufactured from marine-grade aluminium alloy 5052 H32 at 2.5mm thickness, the panel features a decorative palm frond perforation pattern — 9mm holes arranged to create a bold tropical motif across the panel face. Despite the decorative design, the panel maintains full pool compliance under AS1926.1.

The textured powder coat finish — available in Matt Black and Monument — is applied by Akzo Nobel, one of the world's leading coatings manufacturers, ensuring long-term colour stability and resistance to the Australian climate including coastal environments.

Unlike glass pool fencing, Perf requires no sealing, polishing, or specialist cleaning. A rinse with fresh water is all that's needed to maintain its appearance, making it an ideal low-maintenance choice for busy households and rental properties alike.

The panel can be cut down in both width and height to suit non-standard post spacings — refer to the fabrication guide in Additional Documentation for cutting and re-fixing instructions.

What exactly is included in this listing?

This listing is for the infill panel only — one panel in your chosen colour (Satin Black or Monument Satin). The frame kit, U-channels, screws, posts and gate hardware are all sold separately. This allows you to order exactly what you need for your specific installation without paying for components you already have.
What framing and hardware do I need to complete a panel?

For a standard 1.2m high framed panel you'll need: 1 × Frame Kit (PP-FRAMEKIT-B or MN) — this includes all 4 frame rails. Plus a pack of SS304 Screws (PP-SCREW-B-50PK or MN) to fix the panel to the frame. For installation you'll also need posts (sold separately — not a Perf product). For U-channel installation, add U-Channels (PP-U-B-2PK) — one pack per panel bay.
What's the difference between Method 1 and Method 2 installation?

Method 1 (Bracket Fit) — horizontal brackets are fixed to the posts, and the framed panel slides into the brackets and is secured. This suits a post daylight of 2150mm for a standard panel. Method 2 (U-Channel Fit) — U-channels are fixed vertically to both posts, and the completed framed panel drops down into the channels. This suits a post daylight of 2012mm. Can I cut the panel down to fit a non-standard post spacing?

Yes — the panel can be cut to any smaller width or height using a Nibbler tool with a clamped straight-edge guide. Once cut, file any sharp edges. The frame rails are also cut to length using the formulas provided in the fabrication guide. After cutting the panel, you'll need to re-drill pilot holes approximately 50mm from each corner as the original pre-punched border holes may be removed by the cut. Is this panel compliant for pool fencing in Queensland (and other states)?

Yes. The panel has been tested to AS1926.1, which is the Australian standard for pool safety barriers. This standard is referenced in pool safety legislation across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. We always recommend checking with your local council for any state or territory-specific requirements before installation.
What's the difference between the Full Perf panel and the Palm (Deco) panel?

The Full Perf panel has uniform 9mm holes across the entire panel face — clean, minimal and modern. The Palm (Deco) panel has the same specification but features a decorative palm frond pattern created through varied perforation sizing across the panel face. Both are pool compliant and use the same framing. The Palm panel is slightly more expensive. Both are available in Satin Black and Monument Satin.
Can I pick up my order instead of paying for delivery?

Yes — free click and collect is available from warehouses in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. After placing your order, allow 1–3 business days for us to process and send you a collection reference and warehouse address. Do not go to the warehouse without your collection reference. Pickup is Monday to Friday, 7:30am–3pm only. The warehouse is not a showroom — goods must be ordered and paid for online before pickup.
How do I know how many panels I need?

Each framed panel covers a 2000mm wide × 1200mm high bay (Method 1 — post daylight 2150mm, Method 2 — post daylight 2012mm). Measure your total fence run length and divide by the appropriate bay width for your installation method to get the number of panels. Don't forget to allow for gates (which replace one panel bay), corners, and any non-standard width bays. Not sure? There is no manufacturer warranty on this product. None. Your guarantees under Australian Consumer Law still apply — goods must be of acceptable quality for what they are, and what they are is a budget imported fence, sold as exactly that. Due to the nature of our products — large-format aluminium fencing panels, gates and hardware that are ordered, warehoused and dispatched to order — we do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind or incorrect selection.

We strongly encourage you to carefully review your order before confirming purchase. Check your colour selection (Satin Black or Monument Satin), confirm your required quantities, and verify that you have the correct products for your installation method before placing your order.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

While we do not accept change of mind returns, we take product quality and order accuracy seriously. If you receive a product that is:

  • —Damaged — physically damaged during transit or delivery
  • —Defective — has a manufacturing fault or defect affecting its function
  • —Incorrect — does not match the product code or colour you ordered

Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery at sales@safestpoolfence.com.au with clear photographs of the issue. We will assess the claim and arrange a suitable resolution, which may include replacement or refund.

Claims made after 24 hours of delivery cannot be accepted — please inspect your order carefully at the time of delivery or collection before leaving the depot or signing off on delivery.

Order Cancellation

Once an order has been placed and payment received, it enters our processing queue immediately. Cancellation may not be possible once the order has been forwarded to the warehouse. If you need to cancel, contact us immediately at sales@safestpoolfence.com.au and we will advise whether cancellation is still possible.
