The D&D Tru Close Hinge Set provides the self-closing function required for pool gate compliance under AS1926.1. One pack contains two hinges — the complete set needed for one gate.

The "No Alignment Legs" version (TC-H-AT-B) mounts directly to the gate frame face and the fence post face, making it the correct choice for the 38×25mm Perf gate frame profile. The adjustable tension dial allows you to set exactly the right closing force — strong enough to close reliably but not so strong the gate slams.

Hinges are positioned on the pool-exterior side of the gate frame, with the gate swinging outward away from the pool as required by AS1926.1.

How many hinges do I need per gate?

You need 2 hinges per gate. One pack of TC-H-AT-B contains 2 hinges — so one pack is all you need for one gate.
Why "No Alignment Legs"?
+
The "alignment legs" version has projections that wrap around the post — these are designed for use with round glass spigot posts. For the flat 50×50mm square aluminium posts used with Perf, the "No Alignment Legs" (flat mount) version is the correct choice.
How do I adjust the closing tension?

Each hinge has an adjustable tension dial on the side. Turn clockwise to increase tension (stronger pull), anti-clockwise to decrease. Set it so the gate closes reliably from fully open but doesn't slam. Full instructions are in the hinge packaging and in our installation guide.
Do the hinges rust?

D&D Tru Close hinges are made from glass-reinforced nylon — they do not rust and are highly resistant to UV, chlorine and coastal salt air.

Warranty — the honest version

There is no manufacturer warranty on this product. None. Your guarantees under Australian Consumer Law still apply — goods must be of acceptable quality for what they are, and what they are is a budget imported fence, sold as exactly that. All Sales Are Final

Due to the nature of our products — large-format aluminium fencing panels, gates and hardware that are ordered, warehoused and dispatched to order — we do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind or incorrect selection.

We strongly encourage you to carefully review your order before confirming purchase. Check your colour selection (Satin Black or Monument Satin), confirm your required quantities, and verify that you have the correct products for your installation method before placing your order.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

While we do not accept change of mind returns, we take product quality and order accuracy seriously. If you receive a product that is:

  • —Damaged — physically damaged during transit or delivery
  • —Defective — has a manufacturing fault or defect affecting its function
  • —Incorrect — does not match the product code or colour you ordered

Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery at sales@safestpoolfence.com.au with clear photographs of the issue. We will assess the claim and arrange a suitable resolution, which may include replacement or refund.

Claims made after 24 hours of delivery cannot be accepted — please inspect your order carefully at the time of delivery or collection before leaving the depot or signing off on delivery.

Order Cancellation

Once an order has been placed and payment received, it enters our processing queue immediately. Cancellation may not be possible once the order has been forwarded to the warehouse. If you need to cancel, contact us immediately at sales@safestpoolfence.com.au and we will advise whether cancellation is still possible.
